hi i was wondering how much mechanical compression ratio i should have for the mp 557 lift 296 duration cam in a 440 , how do you know what ratio works best with what duration ?

Larry--This can get very technical but I would say 10 to 1 would be minimal. Things like cylinder pressure do enter in. Hughes Engines www.hughesengines.com as alot of info on this subject. Good luck!
