Question

I have a stock 78 360 4-barrel non-lean burn engine. Would this have the same cam as the 2-barrel engine with 252 degrees duration and .410 lift.? I'm considering going to the Comp XE 262 cam but wanted to make sure the stock cam isn't already about the same.

Thanks for the help!

Smile 360 cam

The 76-78 360 H.P cam, # 4042000, had the .410/.410 @ 252/252 specs. The 76-80 360 4BBL # 4041998, had the .430/.444 @ 268/276 specs. I guess you will have to determine which 360 that you have. I would go with the Comp Cams one if it was up to me. Make sure that you have a compression ratio of about 9:1 so the cam can work better. Good luck.
