I paid $75.00 for a heat stove and $175.00 for the 4-speed shift interlock linkage for my Road Runner. The linkage required you to put the 4-speed cars in reverse to remove the key from the steering column, which was new for 1970.This linkage lasted about 2 days when my Dad bought the car new in 1970.The heat stove was NOS and the linkage was used, but in very good shape and complete.

At least you're talking about classic parts that are not being reproduced. I just picked up a set of windshield wiper arms for my Dakota today. How about $36 for a pair? I think I need to borrow the Vaseline!

I need the little overdive button for my 90 ram. The dealer wants $71.95 plus tax for it.
I didn't buy it. I hoping to find one the the bone yard. (yeah right).
Anyone have an extra overdive button? Anyone?

If there's one thing I know about old dodge truck owners, it's that they keep their trucks on the road forever, and if they do die they usually take off the parts that you most need and get rid of the rest or keep the whole truck all together With my old ram I've had to bite the bullet a few times over the years and buy dealer parts simply because it was just easy and after I did have the parts I was glad I bought them. It's just too big of a pain in the ass to try to find parts for those damn trucks in junk yards, If they even have any dodge trucks for that matter!!

I know what you mean about old rams and their owners. Last week a wreck ramcharger went into the junk yard. I know this because it is sitting right by the freeway where I drive every day. By the time I got to it, it was pick clean. Everything from the rear end to the dash board was gone. No other junk yard around here even has a dodge truck from the late 80's or early 90's. Plenty of Chevy's however. Dealer here I come.

Default Not a high dollar amount but

How about a goofball at a junkyard trying to sell me a used rotor for what a new one costs. I told the dude to go to heII and walked out. I have never been back to that place in five years either. See what bad customer service can do.

Junkyards are great but be sure you know what a new replacement part costs.

I saw a NOS rimblow wheel on ebay for 2500.00 reserve price, 71 RR rear window louvers for 1000.00 reserve. I guess ya gotta want it pretty bad. But there are deal to be had- you just gotta be sensible on what it's really worth to you. I owned a car with a rimblow wheel- never again- the thing would only work when it wanted to. As for the louvers- I can buy alotta tint for a g note.

I just bought a trunklid for my 1940 Plymouth Coupe for $1000 Canadian, which is OK because it's an NOS trunklid in the crate. I would've paid double!!!

The only trouble is I just finished paying $600 Canadian for a rusty usable trunklid I had to drive 10 hours for and I had to cut apart to fix.
The $1000 Canadian lid is starting to look a little better?

Hey 7t2fish,
Where in Canada did you get the fender from or who did you get it from? I bet I know exactly where you got it from. LOL. I can tell you for sure that you got ripped off for the GST & PST. As an American making purchases in Canada....you would pay the GST when you make your purchase, but you can get it back when you leave the country. Also......if you did not come to Canada to pick up the part yourself, then you do not have to pay the PST. If you did come to Canada to get the part then, you would be charged the PST and it would not be refunded when you left the country.
Also.......you can submit your reciept for the GST that you payed and still get reimbursed the 7% tax back. I would look on the net on how to reclaim GST payed.
So please tell me......who or where did you get the fender from?

And to everyone else.....how about a Keith Black Aluminium 2X4 Marine intake for a 426 Hemi on Ebay.....$970.00 US and it never sold....it never hit reserve. I think this is ridiculous......If it was for a 392 Hemi it would have been lucky to hit $200.
I think Hemi stuff is a big ripoff.......I saw an original crossram with new Holley carbs for$3500.00......now that's a burn, especially when there was a factory Chevy crossram for a smallblock 302 for sale for 1/3 the price........and the Chevy one is rarer. LOL.

zzslayer... you think $35.00 for a peice of aluminum is bad, how about $180.00 for two pieces of polyurathane, that's what Daystar wants for a pair of 2" coil spacers for my truck. Guess the truck will stay lower in the front !!

How about 55.00 for a rear diff bearing from MP, or 6.50 for the same bearing at NAPA? 76.00 for a 4 cylinder head gasket!! The Coup-de-grace...2.80 for a champion spark plug, and it wasnt even special, the guy tried to sell me at list price! I walked on the 420.00 order sitting on the check out counter just for that. The guy almost started to cry...Well this might even be better $500 for a powder coated Streetmaster 318 intake (maybe $50.00) (the guy thinks it is special because it is milled for a decked block!!) (maybe $25 now) http://www.moparts.com/ubb/ubb/Forum15/HTML/000089.html
