3681056 440-4 PDCY with 11.75" converter
3681057 440-4 Hi-Perf (RW) with 10.75 converter
3681057 440-4 Hi-Perf (PDC) with 11.75 converter

Thanks for the response.

Is there a compilation of these for future reference? I would be most interested in years 1969-1974.

383, its a 77-78 dodge truck 400-440 built march 20 76. Should have the timing hole in the top center of the bell. This kind of stuff is in the field service books, 440 Jim.

Cool

Thanks for the help on the ID. Where do you get these books with all the part numbers and ref material. All I have is a service manual for my RR.

Question

txs,
You have help with this in the past on MoparChat.com, can you help me figure this one out?

I have what I think is a 727 for a big block, the stamping on the case just above the oil pan is
J2801543 350035

This number seems so much different than my 1971 727 transmission
PK3515847 L 3333 7699
Which you decoded for me a little while back.

trans #1:PK2801540J A727B C body 440 STD 1968
trans #2:PK3681866 A727 C body 440 4bbl STD 1974
I think that the 74 will have the part throttle kickdown also.

PK3515844 1971 c body 360 std

J2801543 350035 A727B from ABCbody with 383 std police taxi. 1967

PK3515847 L 3333 7699. A727 Cbody std duty 440. the 7699th trans built
on Sept 12, 1970. Its a 1971 trans.

The help here has been great, Thanks !

Does the PK or J have any meaning?

Is there an easy way to calculate the 10,000 day calendar date? i.e. 3333 = Sep 12, 1970,
3987=Jun 27, 1972

PK is the plant it was built at. Kokomo I don't know what the J is for.
I guess you could calculate the calender but it would be easier to buy a book that has it in there. The one I have starts August 1st 1965 with the number 1465 Aug 2 =1466 3rd 1467 and so on. It ends with July 31st 1974 4751. It would just take a long time to write it out.
