Can anyone tell me their impressions of the demon carbs. Any experiences with them about how they perform and adjustability of the carb. Thanks.

Don't know about the Demon. I called BG for some help with my gold claw (which works great) and was advised by BG staff to scrap the gold claw and buy a king demon, which i did not do. I called Chuck Nuytten and purchased a carb from him. It works great also.

I know that BG got hands slapped for making the Silver & Gold claw carbs but the staff should not tell customers to scrap them.

Just my bad experence with BG.

Regards,

Question

I purchased a Gold Claw carb 750RT(952 cfm)supposedly from Summit Racing. It had #78 jets in the primaries and #82 jets in the rear. I'm wondering how a carb can flow 952 cfm with this jetting? Can someone shed some light on this subject?

because the jetting has nothing to do with how much air it can flow.

Biggrin

I've had the 850 DP Speed Demon for about 7 months and have had no problems with it.It definetly dropped the E.T's and bumped up the MPH over the 750 AFB that was on the car before. It took awile to get rid of the double pumper bog,but being my first non-carter carb it took longer than it should.A freind at the track is'nt having much luck with his though. He has a 850 vac secondary on a 505 crate that dosent want to work.He say's the tech line help is worthless.I do like the nice big sight ports for checking fuel level.

Wedgehead,

I gotta agree with Brian_Wo.... to quote the induction section of the book "Big Block Mopar performance"..."The only thing that can change the air flow potential of the carb is the size of the barrels, not the jets."

Dont those Demons have a "no bog guarantee" from the factory? I was thinking of selling all my spare carbs for one Demon because I heard they were all that, and a bag of chips...
