How do you remove a locknut (locking lugnut) without the key? only 2 things pop in my mind.. 1. using a nut splitter which i dont have and cant get till monday. or 2. drill a hole in the center and use an extractor to remove it. (not those cheap extractors u put on ur drill - they're snap-on extractors with a swirling spline (25 different sizes))

what do you guys think?

Someone broke into my jeep and stole the key for the locknut. I dont want my rims and 35's stolen..the nerve.. they should know better not to mess with a guys truck...but i wont go there..
and yes, I know, it my fault for being stupid enough to leave the key for it in the jeep...

Maybe vice-grips will work depending on the wheels and how tight the nut is.
You could also try grinding flats into the nut sides so a soclet will fit?

Sometimes you can beat a socket onto it and you can loosen it. You can weld a nut onto the end.

Check your local tire shops, one here has a special tool to take those lock nuts off that works real slick! It chews the nut up, but doesn't hurt the rim. If a tire shop in this size of town has the tool, I think if you look around a little in your area you should be able to find one. This is a more common problem than you would think!
