Question

Hi folks,
I'm shopping for clutch/pp/flywheel unit for my 833 but I don't know whether to order a 10.5 or 11.0" unit. How do I tell which one fits my car? Also, I see some flywheels have 130 teeth and some have 143. Which one is correct for my application? (70Bee w/383)

Please advise-- Thanks

BEE you will need a 143 tooth fly wheel and a 11" clutch. The 10.5 130 tooth stuff is for small blocks.

Ahhhhhhhhh.........that's the connection. So, the BB trans package is somewhat uniform from engine to engine? (383-400-440)

The 11" (143 tooth) is not necessarily a BB thing. Trucks come with /6's and 143 tooth flywheels, as do SB trucks.

Also, 10.5" (130 tooth) was used on BB pass cars in the 70's, not sure when that started. It will depend on your bellhousing as to what flywheel you need. I know a 143 tooth flywheel will NOT fit inside a bell setup for the 10.5" flywheel. I have both flywheels lying around somehwere.
