thermoquad... is my performace going to to way down?

if the answer you are thinking in your head is YES.

The TQ is an excelent carb, the only problem with them is that no jets or metering rods are available for them for proper jetting. I run the orignal TQ on my '72 340 Demon and it works great. I have aquired about 10 TQ over the years so I have plenty of part, jets, rods. Good luck and I don't think you will be disappointed if you get it jetted right. Kevin.

Thumbs down

The carb shop said they could help me out for a price.....
So, my T-Q sits and sits and sits because the price of the parts was soooooooo much, you would have to be Bill Gates to afford them.
The T-Q it self will perform great. Darn Dart is right.
You should get good mpg's and excellent WOT operation

Cool Carb Tech

Check out this website. They specialize in rebuilding and modifying TQ carbs.

Their prices seem reasonable too.

I tried a Thermoquad on my 400 for a week. It was bad on gas and the accellerater pump is way to small when you have a big converter. The car would spin the tires then fall on its face when the shot was done. This carb works good on stock engines. It had a good top end.
Thats my opinion and experience. I can tune them for stock engines. I like Holley cause they are easy to tune and parts are no problem.
