I was looking at the same thing, but the price changed my mind. What I did instead was I got my original one rebuilt. If the box is worn, you will get sloppy steering. I will be installing this in the near future once my engine is complete and will hopefully see a big improvement.

I installed a NOS firm feel box on my 1975 Duster. It was rather expensive, but what a difference in steering.

Really tightened the handling up.

This change alone is worth EVERY penny, I would highly recommend it for any MOPAR.

When you say NOS (new old stock) firm feel box are you refering to the original steering boxes that came with a selected few mopars like police cars, ect.?

Yes, it was an factory original police firm feel unit. In fact, I bought it from a place in Thunder Bay I believe.

I could get the name of the place and the price if you like.
Like I said, it really improved the feel of the steering.

Mopar to ya,

I just bought a gear box from them (actually him, it's just one guy, I think.) For my Dodge B100 1/2 ton van the price was $275 + $20 S/H + $75 core ($44 of which I spent sending my old one back.) So the total out of pocket was $324. What you get is actually a rebuilt Mopar box with internal modifications (of course). When I spoke with him, he was a good guy, seemed knowledgeable, and was straightforward. He refunded my core charge promptly.

As for the product, I can't wait to try it. I've heard nothing but good things about it over the years. Unfortunately, I'm waiting for my engine work to be done.

If you have the cash, it's probably worth it.

I have known Dick Ross for twenty five years or more. i have had work done by him years ago. very honest and does fine work.

if you talk to him tell him that Dennis Jokela says hello, and recommended him to you. he will do you a good job.
