Ok, So I have a 74 Dart Swinger with really saggy leaf springs. I have 6"+ shackles on there and the springs are entirly flat! it looks terrible, i didnt gain much height and the ride is not so good..
Here are all of the options i can think of
Super Stock Springs
Coil over boosters... for the shocks
New springs... arched to get some lift
Add a leaf from antother set of a-body springs
put on springs off of a bigger car?
Air Shocks
JC whitney highlift springs
Put the springs over the axle///

As you can see i am at quite a dilema.... should i just go low.. and put some huge tires under there? WHAT SHOULD I DO???
the not so swingin swinger...
PS I'm changing the rearend any how if that helps...

Thumbs up

Mopar Performance Catalog has a set of HD springs for the A body. My dad got a set for his B body for about $100 a piece, I would think the A body be the same price. They raised the height a bit over stock, looks like an R/T. They also have torghn bars for the A body.

IF YOU LIVE IN VANCOUVER WA. YOU ARE JUST ACROSS THE RIVER FROM SEVERAL SPRING SHOPS IF PORTLAND. TAKE YOUR MAIN LEAF AND HAVE THEM RE-ARCHED AND INSATLL NEW BUSHINGS- GOOD AS NEW.

I DON'T REMEMBER THE SHOPS NAMES, BUT THEY SHOULD BE IN THE PORTLAND PHONE BOOK.

HOPE THIS HELPS

DENNIS

You can get new springs lots of places, I got some from JC Whitney and they were fine, cheap too. Just remember to get the stock rear springs or if you get stiffer, get stiffer torsion bars too. If you don't it will feel unbalanced. I'd go with stock "soft" springs and then thick anti-sway bars front and back.

Getting them re-arched is probably your cheapest route though.
