I have a 71 Challenger 340. I just replaced the starter and for some reason it doesnt turn over. When its completely cold it starts fine or when its hot it starts fine but if it sits for a while and cools down, but not completely cool, it wont start. It just turns and turns but wont kick over. Is it a fuel problem, carb? Usually if I play with the choke I can eventually get it to start, but not always What can I do?

look to see if you are getting a good pump shot when it is warm and wont start. You might be boiling the gas right out of your bowls. Install phenolic spacer to keep things a little cooler. Might want to lube your advance plate, maybe sticking? I had a car that wouldnt start if hot. gummed up distributor.

You might have a fuel leak, which will cause flooding until the float level drops on your cooling engine.
