My reference only covers '62-'74, but I think you have given the wrong number. The number you want is a 7 digit number that will start with either a 2 or a 3. That is if it falls into these years.

hey I finally got the tranny number from the guy. it is 3G267099

3G267099 is most likely out of a 73.
3=1973 G=St Louis plant 267099 is probably the VIN number of the car it came out of. The numbers you need are directly under where you found those on the trans case. |
