I have just purchased a '91 Dodge with a 5 speed manual transmission. It is the LE version with a regular cab. I have never owned a Dodge diesel before. My last truck was an '85 Ford F250 with the 6.9 diesel and C6 auto. It only got about 11 MPG. I would appreciate any information regarding expected fuel mileage, maint., and general care for this truck.
It only has 120,000 miles on it by the way! |

My Dad has a 92 2wd LE, 5 spd, 3.91 gears, regular cab. It has close to 160-170k miles on it. Driving at a sort of steady 50-60 mph, he claims to get 24-26 mpg empty. When he pulls his trailer loaded with hay, it'll dip down to the low 20's, but he usually drives slower when pulling the trailer too.
