The MSD 6A/6AL will work just fine without any other changes. I would recommend that you upgrade to the MSD 8.5mm wires, a new cap and rotor with brass contact (Accel cap 120329 rotor 130328), and a MSD BLASTER 2 or SS coil, The plugs of choice would be the autolite 3923's gapped at about 45.

Each of these items help the ignition in their own way and work well with each other. You will eventualy have to upgrade the coil, as the 6A/6AL will kill the factory coil. The better spark from the better coil will destroy the contacts in the stock cap and rotor.
