Question

Hi

Holley makes a very poor TBI system for the RB440. Does any other company make a kit that can be said to work well?

I know of companys that offer half the solution and then it's do it yourself .............. Somebody must have made a kit for the road going MOPAR ?

Any one ?

Nobody make a true EFI kit for the old MOPARs. There are a couple of people on the list that have built their own systems.

If you do a search, you may be able to find some of the earlier posts, otherwise you can hope that they see your post.

Cool 440 TBI

I was considering going with the Holley setup, although I'm not real keen on installing a o2 sensor...

The word is that the HOLLEY unit is very poor ! I have talked with a lot of guy's that say it is truly awful !

Think long and hard before parting with the cash !

Sorry to be a downer.

Let me be the oddball, please. In 1995 I installed Holley's Pro-Jection system, the smaller one with a two injector throttle body on my 77 Gran Fury 400. It was a first generation analog electronic system, from what I have been able to figure out. It does not have the O2 sensor and feedback loop circuit. But I have found it to be very easy to adjust and tune and it was a vast improvement over the Holley 4160 I had on the engine. The engine has .030 aluminum pistons, the heads are reworked 906's, the cam is the repro "Road Runner" piece, Hooker headers, and an Offenhauser 360 manifold. The engine ran pretty damn good in a 4000 pound car, specially when autcross racing. Let me say that the Pro-Jection system allowed for instant startup, smoth idle, and sharp and instantaeous throttle response. I really like it and I'm glad I made the conversion. I'm wondering if the newer digital systems are so darn hard to tune and adjust and massage.

I think that rance will put anything else to shame. Just wish I had the $3,500 to go with the TPI setup.
