Well after much blood, sweat and agrivation I had got my 440 running in an acceptable manner.
Beeper is the lucky winner though, the problem ended up being that my brand new 250.00 Alum. Accel distributor is nothing more than a grorified pop can!!! It was way out of phase, firing alomst between the posts so it would sometimes jump to the one behind where is was suppose to be firing. Accel was of no help and will be getting some mail from me shortly! So I reworked it and got it where it belong, timmed it at 38 degs and the thing runs like a champ. Still some fine tunning to do on the carb, but finally I have got somewhere with this thing. My thanks again to what is hands down the best board on the net for Mopar Performance!! |
