I don't know how its hooked up but I would check make sure your hooked to your rear wheels if you use it for line lock it is supposed to block off fluid to the rear.

Not a hill holder....
Do you have a brake psi gauge? this would help to figure out if your system is holding the psi that it should, and may help you find a problem in the system. The line lock solenoid is not designed with a 100% duty cycle. Meaning you shouldn't leave it engaged for more than a minute or so.
so, there |

I assume you have this plumbed in in the correct direction - there is an in and an out port on most line locks. You should be able to energize the line lock with your foot off the brake - apply the brake and have the line lock hold. If not it may be in backwards...

Stand on it!
How hard are you standing on the pedal before you set it? I have disc brakes in my Duster, and I have to be pretty firm on the brakes before it will hold on a burnout.

return to sender????
Sounds like she may be faulty.
The clicking noise you are hearing is the solenoid actuating. If you look through the outlet port on the device, have someone press the power switch. You should be able to see a piston come down and block off the passage to the inlet port. If not then the unit is faulty. Cheers, Rob |
