Well, I'm droppin' the Dakota soon (Full Hotchkis). Currently, I have 4.10 gears, with 275/60R17. I'm thinking about going with 275/55R17's, but am getting worried about the gears! Currently I'm running these RPM's at MPH:
70MPH - 2410 80MPH - 2755 90MPH - 3099 With the new tires, I'd be running: 70MPH - 2501 80MPH - 2859 90MPH - 3216 Is this ok? How much will this hurt my mileage? How about a 1/4 mile run? Would it improve it, or hurt it? Any advice is welcome! Thanks for your help! william |

Well, its not really alot of diff there. technically <SP> you'll loss mileage and gain pick up speed. But, it will be small. As far as 1/4 times, it depends on trap rpm now vs. the new tire size dia.
