Biggrin

I found this in commercial parts book. To figure exhaust flow (exhaust temp+460) divide by 540 X intake cfm. Now any one know how hot the exhaust is ? Id guess 800deg. My big cat diesel somtimes goes to 900 if its getting worked to the max. Now does anyone know what a 31/2 in pipe will flow at 3"hg?

its not uncommon to see 1800-2200 f depending on mixtures in the combustion chambers.

I have used EGT gauges for years and they should range from 1100* to 1300*.
