Dakota Rebate Rumors After 4/30

Anyone know what DC will do to the $2000 Rebate on May 1st: keep it, decrease it, increase it, suspend it?

I may not be able to pick up my new 2001 AWD/4.7/Auto/3.92/LSD/Sport+ DAK QC till 5/1, yet my dealer wants me to have 4/30 on the paperwork so the truck shows up as a April order, DC tells me this doesn't allow me to get a rebate increase if it does indeed go up.

BTW, any issues with having the paper work show a day earlier than when I actually take delivery?

The rebate wont go up,that much I do know.Usually the first of the month is the time for most rebates to start,and this one is pretty popular.I know the dealer is pushing a April sale date as this increases his allocation for May and the following months plus his kickback money from D-C will arrive earlier.A day earlier for the paperwork wont hurt anything.Sale date and delivery date are two different things.

DC lost 5 billion due to rebates last year...do you think they want to repeat that???NOOOOO look for the rebates to "Leave the building with Elvis" sooon. Hesitation is going to cost you a rebate..
