If you are basically talking about yesterday, there was a problem with something upstream from the MoparChat server. There is alot of stuff in between anyones computer & the server you access. Alot can go wrong between those 2 points.

Biggrin My RAM is Faster!!

My RAM loads faster than this site <g>. Seriously, I've never had the problems with any other site than I do with this one. I have both high speed satellite service, and dial up modem accounts. Both are always slow, if they work at all. At work (Gov't Comp System w/ T1 and T3) I get the same problems, so it's not just my system. Others have posted this same problem a while back before it got moved to another chat topic.

There's something wrong here, and whoever is providing the service for the dual T1's and whatever else needs to do some serious work to fix it, you're paying for it so it should at least work (I assume).

Yes, it was completely dead yesterday (or day before) and couldn't get anything to load from this site.

There's my .02 and vent for the afternoon.

Thumbs up Mine's FREE!

I'm one of the few FREE beta testers of the system. I got a FREE Dell GX1 500 mhz system with the sat cards built in, Dell Monitor, HK Speakers, free sat dish, and free service til July. They are now sending me the Model 360 USB/CAT5 super modem to test out and I'll put that one on the other dual 550 box.

I lucked out and got in at the right time. After July my price is $59 a month. I'm too far out in the woods for cable, DSL, and anything else close to that, and had the chance to try out the service so I went for it. Getting up to 977 down, but the up is about the speed of a 56k (sucks). But it's free! The newer modem should do 128 up.

See www.starband.com for more info, and DirecPC has there's in beta but I hear all sorts of horror stories with it (it's slower!!), and www.WildBlue.com is coming out with one at the end of the year also.

If you've got DSL or cable, KEEP IT!!!!!!!!!

Unhappy

I only had problems yesterday getting on. that was it so far.

I have a Gateway Solo, and it loads pretty fast, when the battery is charged it, when it goes down, the loading time also goes down.

Sometimes I have problems, too. It loads so slow, it's difficult to wait for it. Lately, it seems better. I don't think it's on my end, because all the other sites I usually go to load at the same speed. I didn't want to bring it up because the last time someone did, people said not to complain, the site is free.
