when im cruising 50 and above ,if i put car in neutral then slip it back to drive it shifts to second then drive . i did this at 75 mph today and my heart flew out the window. what would do this.
also i had a stock convertor (engine ran 3200 rpm at55)know i have a turbo action 3500 tight (runs 2800 rpms at 55) whats up here.
by the way got them sixpak running today , the biggest problem was champ plugs was misfiring. man i havent taken a ride like that in a long time. sounds like at the dragstrip with them hooker mufflers.

One thing I'd check is the kickdown linkage it maybe out of adjustment, or disconnected when you were playing with the carbs. ON your rpms with your converter what gears do you have and tire size? IT sounds fishy but maybe your stock converter was bad.

Wink

I beg your pardon 70Ted. I was merely supporting 70gtx's displeasure with a replyer who obviously got whacked by the Moderator.
I am refering to the other "ted" also from upstate NY.
So far it seems his replys have been whacked on this board AND over at Moparts.com too.
So I ain't the only one complaining.

If someone doesn't speak up how will "ted" learn to improve his social graces ?
