I have access to a Dana 60 rear that supposedly came out of a 81-87 1/2 ton Chevy Diesel truck. It has 3:73 gears and is complete. Are these truck Dana's the same as the Muscle car Dana's? What would it take to put one of these in a 70 B body.

Yes (I believe it so) there the same. A DANA 60 is a DANA 60 no matter where it came from. However, the mounting points on a chevy are different I believe.
It would take a moment to look at the spring seats that are welded to the tube. See if the spring will fit the pad. See if the nub fits the hole. And the width is correct. Then theres the case of rear end width and yoke size. Shocks will of course mont on the usual spots on the mopar unlike how some chevys do it on the axle tube. |

make sure it is not a GM corp. 14 bolt. they have 6 bolts that hold a pinion bearing housing on right behind the driveshaft yoke. the rest of it looks similar to a D60. matt
