Question

Hello,

I have a 1965 Coronet it has a 413 with A/C and power steering.
I want to get rid of the A/C.The alternator has a double pulley, the two belts go around
the A/C compressor and the water pump. What do I need before I start removing everything? ........Pulleys?,alt bracket?,water pump pulley?,crank pulley?.
I was told that the water pump housing is the same as a hemi...I looked,It Is.
It also looks like a triangle shapped alt bracket would not work due to the heater hose nipples on the block.

Help!!!!Please!!!!

I have Pictures if you would like to see PLEASE

Default Been there

You need to find a matched pair of pulleys from a similar application. I think the 413 is a RB, find a engine or car with an engine that has the pulleys on it that was without AC. DON'T try swap meet bargains. I got burned a couple times by guys that had a pile of pulleys and handed me some that looked right only to bolt them up and have them not match up. It is hard to tell by looking at them. Get them from a known application.

and new thermostat, unfortunetly I have to pull the A/C compressor all the way off to get at it.I have taken pictures if anyone is interested in helping me.Please e-mail me
