Hi Guys,
I snapped some rear wheel studs on 66 Barracuda v8. Forgot they go in opposite direction on drivers side. how do I remove rear axle to replace wheel studs.

It's the 7 1/4" rear end. By the way, I also have a 71 RR orange that I bought new. It has 53K original miles.

7 1/4- well I'm not gonna be much help on that one. I would think it would be pull the brakes and open the cover and pop the clips, but I dunno fer sher Someone out here will know it . Anybody??
You got your RR new and it only has 53K on it !?!?! Sir- you have WAAAAAAYYYYYY more self control than I. Or more toys- one of the two

You don't need to remove the axles to replace the studs, just knock them out with a punch & hammer, then install them using a bunch of large flat washers & a nut.

Default impact wrench

also, it'd be a good idea to use some anti-seize when installing those new wheel studs. i used a 1/2" drive phneumatic impact wrench, a few heavy duty washers, and a bunch of old lug nuts. I was impacting moroso wheel studs in my 8 1/4 shafts, and went through maybe about 8 old lug nuts per wheel stud. The studs are made with harder metal and stripped the lug nuts clean.
