This is my second rebuilt power steering pump. The first one lasted for 20 minutes and this one causes the steering to pull to the right by itself!
I can be sitting in park with the wheel centered and If I let go of the wheel the steering will turn fully clockwise to the right lock! Other than that it feels ok accept for the constant pull to the right. Weird! It never did anything like this before so I suspect the pump again. (second lemon?) Any ideas guys? |

Easy Fix
your valve body position needs adjusted.
this is the part bolted to the top of your power steering box with two bolts. jack the front of the car up, loosen the two bolts that hold the valve body on, start the car up and tap on the valve body with a soft hammer to adjust it's position until your wheels will stay straight and will not turn on there own. tighten the bolts back down and your done. |

THAT DID IT!
Yup!
Did just as you said. Gave the valve body a rapp with a rubber mallet and the steering strightened right up. No pull to either side now. THANks!! |
