ok, so, im building this 360 to hum but it has to be my daily driver, so, it can't be too nutz
i got a 500 cfm competition edelbrock carb, roughly pushing 600 cfm, full k&n filter system, hi-po manifolds, 280 degree crane street/strip cam, blah blah blah
fast car for what it is
i cleaned all of my grounds, car idles at 700 in gear and will idle forever at any temperature, it charges perfect as it had a/c before i pulled it, but i left the big alternator on.

i was wondering if anyone knows where i can get the underdrive crankshaft pully, and whether i can run this pulley with a smaller amperage alternator and still have it power my heat, lights, etc on a cold winter night.
any help would be greatly appreciated
thanx all

What is the reason you want the underdrive pulley?
If you are just looking for a few HP, I wouldn't use them on a street car, but they are OK on a strip car.

I have the March pulleys on my 451, but I needed some pulleys that would keep the belts from flying off at high RPM. I have the smaller alternator and the battery dosen't charge untill engine RPM is over 1,200 RPM, and the car is more likely to overheat in slow stop and go driving. This is a old set of March pulleys, and I think they now have a "street" set that has less underdrive so this isn't a big a problem.
Like I said for the cost of the pulley set you could probbly use the money to pick up more power someplace else in the engine, but they are good to use if you are tossing belts off all the time.

I have the set on sale on Ebay. This is the CNC aluminum with the 2 belt crank pulley. Go to Ebay and type in "mopar underdrive" The set is in good condition.
