Trying to dial one in. Someone suggested I pull the weighted velocity valve from the secondary carb. I run a progressive setup, 1/2 travel on primary, with second carb opening 2x on second half. An Old Mopar mag says to remove step up springs. Any experience out there? 340/Erson Hi-Flow2/Edelbrock D-64.

I've run edelbroc 600s on my 340 w/STR12 crossram w/racer bown st21 cam (254@.050") w/ .073*.047 needles, orange or pink springs,107 primaries,110 secondaries. This worked well on the street, only a small soft spot when the secondaries cracked open, this I think can be fixed by plugging the air bleeds in the secondary venturies. Why the progressive linkage set up,I can probably see the no springs in the second carb with this set up..
