I'd like to find a good Mopar RACE engine builder myself.

I've tried a few with no results, but all the promises in the world.
I am currently using a guy who builds VERY reliable motors which is half the battle. He just doesn't know all the secrets to building a race motor. I don't want to sound like I'm complaining, I'm not.
If you find a good motor builder, that knows mopar let me know.\

Thumbs up mopar race engine builder

I have an IMCA modified with a mopar, and I use two sources for tech info as well as machine work:

1) Hughes Engines in Washington, IL web site is as follows: hughesengines.com

2) Richardson Automotive Machine in Lynchburg VA. web site is as follows: ramracing.com

I have personally talked to both of these sources, and I even had some head and machine work done at hughes.
If you want to talk mopar racing, both of these are real good people to know.

Hope this helps.........see ya at the track

Well the rules are up in the air right now we are talking to the tracks about some rule changes the main rule is on the cars I want to run a 98 Sebring body and put it on a stock automotive frame and run it in a hobby class for my boy. Now on the engine the rule is no 355 and this is the motor I want to put in. The rule right now is a 360 only no porting edelbrock intake 202 160 stock 360 heads wet sump and so on O and a 2 barrel carb 350cfm 490 hyd lifters. and thanks to all that posted.
It looks like I'll be going with the 360 frist it will be the cheapest to put back together. J.C.

Well, you said the magic word-350 CFM carb. A friend has been working with this combo for his Nascar Late Model. I hate to tell you this but 325-335 HP is about all you will get with the 360; but, it looks like the 340 may actually produce more HP due to less friction loss. On his 360, it doesn't make much difference if you use W2,J,X or whatever heads the numbers are about the same.

I've gotten good tech advice from Hensley Racing Enterprises, in Knoxville, TN. They do machine work, but I haven't had any done there. They know mopars like nobody else I've talked to.

One thing I'm gonna add is, if the shop is too big, like a winston cup or craftsman truck team they sometimes don't want to deal with a saturday night team, with really restricted rules, like what I have. Those teams know that it takes alot of time to find the right combo to get max power.
