I installed a camshaft that says for peak performance they recommend usage of a pair of heders with a 3 1/2" collector and a 1 7/8 primary. The pair i have use a 3" collector and a 1 3/4" primary, will this make a big difference?

Run what you have. The difference will not be worth buying a new set of headers. The smaller tubes will give you more torque anyway.

By smaller tube, do you mean the collector or the primary? would it increase torque on the high or low end?

The smaller primary and collector size will give you more torque on the bottem end of the track and the horsepower loss on the top end would be minimal if any, not worth buying new headers.

Both. well, mostly the primarys. The larger tube size recomended are for a strip only cars performance.

Sounds like it actually improved performance if i am gaining torque on lower end and not loosing to much HP on higher end. Cool, thanks for the help.
