ok i just got the car to be on the road and i notice that if i rev it up it vibrates the transmission or something like that. I put the B&M Balanced flexplate on it so i know it's not the flexplate. it's a 360 engine hooked up to a stock 727 trans with the balanced flexplate. what else could this vibration be? it does it if it's standing still but it also does it when going on the freeway or around town. It starts at about 1500-2000 rpms and doesn't stop vibrating.

Arrow Balance

Do you have the correct damper on the front of the engine? The 360 to a external balance damper.
Also what about the weights on the torque converter? Do you need to remove them if you used this 'balanced' flexplate? (never heard of a balanced flexplate, but maybe I have been under a rock for a while)
It was always the torque converter that was weighted for a 360.

They guy i bought my engine from gave me the dampner for it maybe it's not the right one? you can either add weights to the torque converter or buy the balanced flexplate it's an either/or thing.

Wink Yeah, but

Well, if you went with a 'balanced' flexplate and you have the correct weighted torque converter wouldn't this be overbalanced? If you bought a unweighted aftermarket torque converter then you are probably ok.
Make sure the guy didn't give you a lame damper too.
I had someone do something like that to me once. Drive me nuts.

I have known people who had this problem before. The B & M is meant to be used with a neutraly balanced torque converter. You can not use a stock converter with this flexplate because they have balance weights on them already. Is it a part number 10236?
