DO YOU GUYS THINK PUTTING ON LARGER TIRES ON MY RAM WOULD HELP ME GET BETTER MILAGE? I HAVE A RAM 4X4 WITH 245 TIRES, YOU KNOW THE LITTLE ONES THEY PUT ON THOSE HUGE RAMS.I KNOW A LARGER TIRE WOULD KNOCK DOWN THE GEAR A LITTLE BUT WOULD I SEE AN INCREASE IN MILAGE. I JUST GOT ONE OF MY GAS CREDIT CARD BILLS FOR LAST MONTH,$350.00 OUCH!

JANDJ, you couldn't even tell the difference unless your new tires were like 6" taller. And wider tires have More rolling resitance. The Honda "super mileage ultra-clean" car has the narrowest 14" tires made, inflated to 60 psi.Can you say roller blade wheels? That 4.10 is great for grunt, but hurts your milage(maybe). I say that because a full size Ram could acutally get better mileage with that gear. Depends on how you drive, where you drive, if you carry stuff in the truck all the time, and the engine size. The smaller your engine the more gear you need.
