"Is there anybody out there" who has tried the RPM total power package from Edelbrock ?.
I have a 68 Charger 440 RT w/3:23 rearend, 3500 stall.
I have tried the RPM on a 72 Duster w/360 engine, it worked very well.
Any better idea...Want a car that i can drive.. 450/500 horse power..

Arne from Norway

Thanks...

We built a 'RPM 440' a couple of years ago. We pretty much duplicated the Edelbrocks mule engine, had 10:1 CR, ported 2.14/1.81 heads the cam, intake, carb etc. The only difference was that the headers were smaller 1 3/4" primaries. I was not too convinced with the results. However, because of other projects we didn't tune the engine so there may be some unleashed power left. We'll try it more seriously next year. The engine is in a 4400 lbs car with 3.55 gears and it run 13.7/103 mph.

Dart, let us know what happens. I'm thinking of maybe building one also for my 65 Fury. Has any body tried it on a 383??? Also, what stall was the car running? See Ya.

the edelbrock intakes are good but the cams are old designs and most of the cam grinders have newer, better designs. 450-500hp is not problem for a 440. in addition to a complete rebuild, make sure cr is 9.2-9.7, mild port work on heads(250+cfm), cam around 240-245@.050,holley street domintor or M1 single plane,or torker II intake, 800-850holley, 1 7/8 headers. if the work is done right youll get around 475hp from it, and be able to run pump super U/L.
