Has anyone ever mated W-2 heads to an intake not designed for it?

I have a set of W-2 heads, and was thinking about mating a 6-pack setup to them. Should I take metal off the heads or add some to the intake? How should I go about doing this? I know they have made adapters for this sort of thing, but not with good results. Has anyone ever done this? Any help is appriciated.

If you do some research into welding cast iron.....like cylinder heads you will see that would be almost an impossible task for you.......and very...very expensive for someone else to do it.....secondly....it is much easier to weld aluminum....

and it would be cheaper to buy an intake that fits....

I know I have a Mopar magazine with an orange 70 TA Challenger on the cover, the guy was an engine builder and had that combo! 340 - 6 pack - w2 heads, it took alot of work but it looked stock and ran 11's! I will look for it!
