Has anyone out there put a stroker crank in a small block? I noticed MOPAR Performance sells them for about $1000 each and I'm wondering if it would be advantageous for my 318 or a possible future 360.

1000$? Those are forged cranks for race applicatoins, if building a moderate street car they offer a cast 4" stroker crank for them for about 300$. So you could get all the parts for the short block for under 1000$.

Cheff,
I own one, love it, but if you're not careful, $1,000.00 could end up being the sales tax if you don't control the project! Here's a good first time stroker combo. Offset ground 360 crank to 3.705 (.125 stroke) ending with 2." chevy journals. 6." chevy rods. Custom pistons. 340 or 360 head. They work great. Limit the revs to 6500 and kick ass.(if you can get it hooked) |
