Question

i have a 1983 chrysler cordoba with a 360 4 barrel 600 cfm edelbrock carb, performer intake, new mopar performance distributor aftermarket accell wires, high flow fuel pump and much more. my problem i have been trying to figure out for 2 years is at about 4500 to 5500 rpm under full throtle the engine just falls on its face. but under 3/4 throttle it go up in rpm much better. this vehicle had lean burn ignition before i installed a 360 in place of the original 318. I installed a wiring out of 1980 cordoba that came with electronic ignition from the factory I have tried many things to figure this problem out so i can quit giving my self a major headache. please help!!!!!!!

Default sounds familiar

my satellite used to do this when i first put the engine in, it would pull harder at 3/4 throttle than at full.
i finally narrowed it down to an insufficient fuel system, because at 3/4 throttle the fuel system was maxed and flowing top GPH for the system, and the air coming into the engine at 3/4 was right for the amount of fuel.
when you punched it, it couldn't deliver any larger amounts of fuel but it was taking in larger amounts of air, leaning the car out.
a miss can sometimes lead to leaning-out as well.
make sure your fuel system is in good condition, and there are no plugged regulators or filters
