Question

A friend has a set 452's on his 440 and he got one repaired they pined it it was cracked on 3 intake pockets up to the water holes on the surface.Ok now hes got it running and it seems fine when cold but when it gets hot it is missing a bit and the one plug looks like it has a white residuew from anti frezz.Does anyone know of a product that we can put in his rad for a quick fix for a couple of weekends at the track??

Cool

Moroso makes a sealer that goes into the cooling system. Some people I know swear by it. Sorry but I can't remember it's name. It comes in a small white bottle with white lettering on it.

I had a 915 head that cracked the same way. From the intake seat to the side of the chamber?I had compression leaking into the water jacket and causing cooling system problems. There was also three cracks on this head like yours in three chambers all in the same area. Strange? I ended up replacing it , expensive when head is ported, another good reason to go aluminum. Try detroit deisel ,Alison they carry a block and head sealer.
