My car developed a weird noise last week. After some diagnosis it seems to be coming from the flex plate or torque convertor. It sounds like the sound a loose pulley or fan would make with a slight ticking. It is loudest at idle and goes away when the motor is over 1500 rpm. Tranny is newly rebuilt w/2800rpm Dynamic 10"and we did have to enlarge the flexplate holes to accept the new larger bolts. Could this be where the problem lies? Also, tranny barely took 9 qts of fluid, I'm using redline racing atf. Seemed a little low to me. Please respond, thanks. <><

hi, sound to me either the flex plate has cracked from the drilling or the bolts have loosened up, you should have used a b&m flex plate they are nice pieces very beefy
