Question

chain? cheap,slacks

geardrive?kinda expensive, transfers harmonics,no slack, cool sound

belt?expensive,absorbs harmonics,no slack, high rpm capability

please take the poll and answer why.

Ill answer for a street/strip app as thats what most of us run here, if a small block youd better have at least the best true dbl roller you can find or a gear drive if over 7000rpms because they are very hard on timing chains more so than a BB,the prob is in gear dia vs cam/crank spacing,if a BB Id run a gear drive,theyre way down on price these days($239) although a true dbl roller will last here nearly for ever but with a roller cam on any app Id run a gear drive,why spend the extra $ on a roller only to let its accuracy go to waste if its out of time.......PRO........
