I'm rebuilding a 440 and 727 from my 67 GTX, the cars long gone,so it needs a new home. A friend has a 73 Barracuda,318 numbers don't match, in storage for 15-20 yrs. I'm thinking of putting together a 73 cuda the way it could have been. The original 67 440 motor paint was turquoise and the air cleaner reads Super Commando. Do you guys know the last year for this color or name on a HP Plymouth motor. Thanks,JWH

JWH the 67 440 was all its own beast.it was the 1st year for a 440 hp and the only year it came with closed chambered heads, the correct color was turquiose a 67 only color and it was a super comando only in 67 too,68 and later 383/440s were all magnums.I used to own a 67 Coronet with a 440/4 spd, loved the 67s sorry I ever sold it,its beat up pretty bad the last time I saw it,it ran 11.88 on pump gas(w/n20).Sounds like a good combo in that 73 Barracuda..............PRO........................ ...............
