Here is the situation. I plan on installing headers on my ram in the spring. It is equiped with an air pump system. The headers I plan on using do not have fittings for the air pump, but I want to run high-flow cat converters.
My main question- Cats with air tubes; do the tubes just suck air like they are(so that I won't need the air pump), or would I (or should I) run the lines from my air pump to these tubes? Any comments or advice would be appreciated. ------------------ A.K.A. "old Gold" 86 D150: 2WD: 360 visit www.geocities.com/oldgold86/ |

The tube from the air pump is supposed to go to the tube that's in the cat. If you leave it the tube open you'll have a exhaust leak.
