I "experienced" JBL's new sub today...
OK so we opened a new shop and retail store and all these venders where there. Alpine, Monster Cable, Harmon International(Infinity, JBL) etc etc...
This Harmon guys show me his car(honda civic) and I see these two things in the back that look like a futuristic war head. The new 12" JBL GTI series sub have a 15" mounting depth(they were mounted inverted in the box) They have a 68mm peak to peak throw(about 2"). Needless to say thats the loudest 2 subs I have ever heard.......I have heard alot, competing in DB drag racing. When he played a sign wave from 10hz- 45 they looked like(and this is no kidding) two pistons in a motor. The guy said they are about 1g a peice. I have seen JL audio and some other company make subs that look similar to these but I haven't heard them yet. those kinda subs just make you say, DAAAMN thats loud! If you guys ever see a Infinity/JBL Demo car look for these subs, you can't miss them. |

Yea, I saw those subs before, but never heard them yet. JL is coming out with a W7. Thats the speaker your talking about. They are supposed to handle ALOT of wattage and have a deeper basket for more excursion and junk. They are nice, but not what I want. Also, if your tight on space, dont think about getting one!!
