Default Any one using the 360 Crate??

Hi i was wondering if anyone is using the 360 380hp Crate motor. I have it in my Dart. It is running a constant 12 48-49. People tell me that they seen this motor get people into the 11's in stock trim. I have a 904. I was using a TCI 3000stall but the new Coan will be here in a week. This one should flash around 3700. And the rear send is an 8 3/4 with 4.56 gears. Im using S/S springs with no clamp on the back. Let me know if your running this motor or know anyone who is. Like to hear other peoples stories on this.

Thats an excellent 60 ft. Those 904's must really work. I have a 727 with 8 inch converter, leave at 3000, run 11's and 60 ft is a 1.65 so your doing something right.
I haven't tried removing the rear clamps yet, mine runs best with s.s. springs and no snubber. I use to have a 10 inch Coan, it flashed to 3800.

Im leaving at 2800. Normally leaving at 3400 but the tires want to slid foward. I think its the way 42 preps the track. That place is a joke. Im about ready to just stop going their and go to Norwalk full time. I have the s/s springs with the back unclamped. they say with the back unclamped the car wont pull the front wheels. I hoping to sell the convertable and get the 800 hp 340. Want it to go 10 20's on 10in slicks through the mufflers. seen it done before so i know it can happen. Had a buddy with a chevy that went 9 90's on 10in slicks. the car left and was on its bumper for about 80 feet. and that was at 42.

800 h.p. 340, you must be rich, a mopar magazine is building an 800 h.p. small block right now for an 8 second avenger that has the best of everything, some of it handmade, looks like a 30,000 dollar motor. Leigh has a 630 horse small block that runs low 10's but his whole car is built for it. It would not be easy to buy a used motor to top 630 horsies.

I dont need to be rich to get this motor. I know a guy that was building it for another guy and that guy ran out of money. He has 3500 in labor in it. He will put the motor toghter dyno it and have it ready to put in the dart for the same price that we payed for the 360. Hopefully the convertable will be gone out of here soon. The motor wont go in rite away. We want to play around with this crate motor a lil bit. Want to get an 11 sec time slip. Thought about putting it on the bottle but i dont belive in it. so hopefully will be able to get this motor and have it in the 10's next year. But i also want to be able to drive the car on the street. You even seen linda aikeys roadrunner at the track? Thats a wild car. Has a 383 and leaves on the back wheels. i think it has ran 10 50's. Not bad for a 4000 pound car and a women driving it. Next time you go out check out the car. It say "Deal With It" on the side. Dont ever line up with her cause if your not good on the tree she will put you on the trailer. She is alwise cutting .50 lights.

Oh yea, I've been put on the trailer by Linda and that is a neat car, I talked to them 3 weeks ago and they said their best was 11.00 with their new bottom end. I don't believe in nitrous either unless your car is super quick w/o it. I'd love to go in with you on that Norwalk rental but I just don't have the time right now. Good luck getting in the 11,s , I pulled my hair out for a year and a half running 12.0's til I finally got that first 11 sec. timeslip.

P.S. What is the combination on the new motor?

Hmm Thought i seen that car in the 10 a couple of weeks ago. Im gona have to talkto her next time I see her. 11.00 still isnt bad for a full bodied car. And she isnt that tall eighter. She was telling me that when they first put the car toghter they couldnt figure out why she was shifting early. And here when she launched that car it was pulling her hand back on the shifter. So she was shifting early. Well I will let you know next time we go to Norwalk. Next time we are going to shot for 25 people and rent the track for 8 hours. I thought I would have trouble finding 10 people. Went to one cruise in at the triple crown and got 10 people and have more people wanting to go. So i think it wont be hard to get 25. If we can get 25 its 42 bucks a car. For 8 hours of testing.
