HEY>>>>>>>>
What kind of tool do you have to have to install cam bearings in a block? How is it done? Is there any other method besides using an expensive tool?

Dr. The easiest and cheapest way unles you have several blocks to replace cam bearings on is to take it to a machine shop to have them installed.

Dr. Righteous,
I borrowed the tool from a local parts shop, Trak Auto I think. It is fairly simple to do but very nerve racking. I had a hard time getting the oil holes to line up right and the shells centered in the bores. Check around many parts shops loan all kinds of wild tools for free. I even found one that lent me the 4 flat chrysler ball joint wrench.
Good luck
