Question

i put a 96 magnum 318 in my 88 ramcharger.having trouble w/ the whole ignition and timing thing since the whole system is run by computer and vacume it runs great some days then sounds like its gonna blow up on others.would like to know what all i need to do to convert to 4barrel and points ignition or electronic ignition which is easier to converrt to i have a aluminum high rise intake single plane (I should have gotten a double plain i know now)please help....

What exactly is it doing?? And tell us all what you did.Did you use the wiring harness out of the donor vehicle?? I think the system can be made to work.

You mentioned it is run by computer. If this is the computer from the donor vehicle can you pull diagnostic codes from it for a clue.

every thing is from the 88 ramcharger all i have done is get a 96 magnum 318 put a aluminum hihg rise on it since magnums come w/ fuel injection..had to make make an adapter plate to mate the 2brl throttle body injection to the high rise but dont believe that is the problem..i am a machinist believeeverything is true there...im gonna check the distributer and see if everthing is ok there but im at a lose....
