The Musclecar interchange manual says look for a 70-71 Barracuda, Challenger, Charger, Coronet, Dart, Satellite and Valiant with manual steering or Dart, Duster and Valiants with a six cylinder.
I swapped one from a Dart onto my '69 Charger, it bolted right in and even used the same pitman arm. The manual steering gear requires a longer steering column (I lengthened mine) and possibly different splines on the coupler. If you get a steering gear from the boneyard, be sure to get the coupler too. |

I believe you can use a box from like 63 to 77 +- a few years. I have a 64 in my 74 Dart. Lots of "elders" change out manual boxes for power. That is how I got 2 for almost nothing.
