Only Vince McMahon and the WWF could have written it better!

My take exactly. I didn't even watch because I had a feeling NBC would somehow get "their" Daytona. When the "Totally Nascar" show on Fox Sports ran a Poll that showed Dale Jr. at the top for sentimental favorite by about 95 to 1 I knew Nascrolet, er I mean Nascar would go the popular route somehow. Unbelievable. Incredible. Should not be tolerated.

WWF-car
NASCAR's fairy-tale endings suck. It's not a sport, it's a scripted "entertainment," just like hollywood.
A couple of years ago Car and Driver magazine ran an article called "Does Nascar Fix Races?" Read the article here: http://www.caranddriver.com/xp/Caran...ture_doesn.xml The article starts out: A number too-perfect storybook finishes in stock-car racing have created whispers of a conspiracy... Here's another quote from the article: "Based on years of talking with people a lot smarter about racing than I ... I'd have to say I have no doubt that events in NASCAR have been, are, and will be rigged. And there's nothing wrong with it. So what's the problem, fellows?" |

You know, if Dodge pulled out of nascar, my heart would not break. After watching the season so far, I don't think I can watch anymore because it does seem that the "fix" is always on. I always have and always will support Dodge, I'm a Mopar nut, but I can't bear to watch how the events are unfolding. Sterling should've won a few by now, or at least one race. That's the price we pay being fans of all things Chrysler. Nascar and thier "rules" suck. They should race like back in the day: take your most popular model, stuff the meanest (HEMI) engine under the hood, buckle up, and it's every man for himself. All this bs with drivers protecting drivers would've been unheard of in the 60's and 70's. And as far as I'm concerned, jr. winning at Daytona was much more than just a coincidence.......
