Default Auburn Posi Units and 8.25 rear ends

Anyone ever heard of a spool to fit a 8.25 rear end or does anyone know how to tighten up and lock an Auburn Posi unit?

Just checked some Video and it seems that one tire is slipping on the launch....sometimes....

I guess this winter it's time to put in that 8 3/4 or Fird 9"

My MP 8 1/4 chuck used to throw off the backlash all the time. When I went to check the axle bearings for wear I could not get the center pin out to remove the C-clips because the two halfes ( gear side half and other half) were twisted apart. I had to loosen all of the retaining bolts for the two halfes to loosen the pin to remove it. The next time I checked it I had over .02 backlash where I knew I only had .007 before. Same thing happened. Loosened the case bolts and the backlash came back in spec. Just my experience.

its a lot like a detroit locker. while you are off the gas, its just like an open rearend, but when you are on the gas, its like a spool. It installs inside an open diff.

the powertrax is a lot weaker though than a detroit because it does not spread the axle load to the ring gear, which is pretty big. But since it doesnt replace the carrier, it's easy to install and like $200 cheaper. Has great street manners and locks up when you need it.
