does anyone know what a part throttle lock solenoid is?

My 89 dodge truck runs super rich and shows a 37 code, or part throttle lock/unlock solenoid. I put a new O2 sensor, checked all the hoses and connections, egr is fine, heat valve in air cleaner works, new plugs, wires, ect... A MAP sensor is $63 and I dont want to buy one until I find out what this trouble code means. Anyone????

River, I've got a 5.2 Magnum EFI...but I think thats the cruise control solinoid that vents vacumm to the air to shut the "pull" on the thottle cable off. I was reading the service manual on my truck at the dealership...that name rings a bell. I think on a carb, that would make you run rich, because to go up a hill, you not only need more fuel, but a richer mixture so you don't ping. If I'm compleatly wrong I won't be surprised...but maybe? If you can get hold of a service manual(from Dodge) it will tell you for certain.
