Black rubber roof tracks
What actual purpose do they serve, Im thinking of taking them off, but I dunno whats under there. Is it flat or is there like a gap under there. Do I just heat them up and peel off in the same manner as "shaving" the body emblems?

Are you talking about the OEM roof rack channels or the black strips on the raised portion of the roof?

They are roof reinforcements, but they probably will leave some holes in the roof that will need body work to look good.
A totally smooth lid would be pretty trick, maybe even 2 sunroofs would be doable.
